Having
Tresspassers William

When I heard the name Trespassers William I thought to myself “where have I heard the band before?” I did a little research and found out that they were on one of those OC compilations where they try to add a bunch of hip relatively unknown bands for I don’t know “scene points”. So I thought that this would be some poppy Cali indie band. Simply put I was wrong.
Having is actually the third release from Trespassers William and they’ve been around quite a while. The album starts off with the track Safe, Sound that has amazing quivering sounding vocals backed by an acoustic and electric guitar. It puts you in the right mood and gives you chills.
The most amazing point of this album is the vocals. On tracks like And What We Lean In the vocals are almost ghostly and kind of seductive. Her voice swirls in a beauty that makes you feel what she is singing.
Musically, the album covers you in chilly yet warm ambience of forlorn reflection. It is both quietly bracing and intelligent. However it has the common denominator of almost all smooth flowing albums, almost all the tracks sound the same. Weather that is a good or bad thing is totally up to the listener. For me I don’t mind it that much but it can get a tad boring. Still this is highly recommended.
Rating: 8.5 out of 10
