Thursday Go to the Philippines
Thursday have confirmed that they will be playing their first ever show in the Philippines. A note from the band is as follows:

Saturday May 31 at KAOGMA Festival in Camarines Sur: The Kaogma (which translates to "good times") Festival is a week long festival with various activities, which commemorates the foundation day of Camarines Sur in the Philippines (May 27, 1569). The culmination of the week's festivities is a massive concert that is free to the public. Until now, all performances have been top artists from Manila and Cebu, the capital and the second largest city in the Philippines. Thursday will be the first US band to play the festival. From the promoter: "The Koagma is a centuries old festival celebrating the founding of Camarines Sur... about 450 years ago. Only Philippine based artists have performed. Thursday will be the first foreign artist ever. Music history in the works."

Joining the band on the trek to the Philippines will be bassist Manuel Carrero of the bands Glassjaw, Stillsuit, and currently, Saves the Day

Small/Unsigned Bands
The weekends are insanely slow for news, and rather than just have no updates for a few days I'd like us to try something new. If you're in a small/unsigned band that doesn't have the luxury of a PR firm working you 24/7 telling the world about your tour dates, records, and happenings shoot me an email at John@mammothpress.com and I will post your news. We try to do this during the week too, but the weekends are the best time to make sure your news gets on the main page and stays there for awhile. I don't care if you just got off tour with Mastodon or if you just recorded your first demo. Hit me up and let the world know about it.
